The other day, in the car, mum Lina and I were chatting about pop, and just the blessing he is to the men he works with. He is currently mentoring two young men where he works, and is involved with a couple of men at the church. Lina and I began talking about how our friends viewed pop. I've had girlfriends who feel like, he's another dad to them. He makes them feel welcomed and loved, without making them feel weird. And they love that. They've said that they love watching my dad and I, and, well, that makes me happy. I've had girls say, they're jealous of the relationship my dad and I have. I really value the relationship I have with my dad. He's my measuring stick for every guy, interested or not. I've watched as my sisters have found young men that have like qualities as pop does. And they both now have blessed marriages. I've had guy friends tell me how awesome my dad is. One friend was so excited when pop asked him to help with a project, because he thinks so highly of him. Another tells me often how much he enjoys talking to him.
My dad, is incredible. And I'm clearly not the only one who thinks that. Friends think that and people in our church think that, and people recognize, that my dad is amazing. I often wonder how I got the most amazing dad on planet earth.
He's one of the best examples in my life. He rises early to read his Bible before going to work. He works hard and long. I've never seen my dad be lazy. He's always working, and when he's not, he's resting. He's earned his rest. He works a lot. But not like a workaholic. He works like someone who has a goal. He works at his job, and comes home and takes care of things around the house. He works hard on his marriage to keep it where the Father wants it. He works at maintaining the special and unique relationships he has with each of my sisters and I. I can't believe I'm so blessed.
But, I am. I love my dad so very much. I wouldn't change a thing about him.

Sounds like your weekend was about as busy as mine! Kimber and I have served in the children's thing a couple of years ago. It was extremely tiring but encouraging! We may do it again too!
Learning to delight in Jesus,
